This tool provides a complete analysis of bioassay reproduction data, including descriptive summaries of the data and an estimation of ECx values (x% Effect Concentration). MOSAICrepro does not expect any input besides the reproduction dataset: the service will select the most appropriate model and optimize its parameters automatically.
A distinctive feature of MOSAICrepro is its ability to estimate the effect of a contaminant in presence of mortality in the bioassay. In order to correctly take mortality into account, the survival data included in the dataset is used to calculate the effective period where individuals could reproduce. Then the reproduction rate is estimated in terms of number of offspring per individual-days.
All calculations are based on a companion R package named MORSE and more details about the underlying modeling can be found in the corresponding vignette or the original research paper.
